The simple escape door

Requirements:

This outer door must be readily accessible during the day. Outside of office hours or on the weekend, entry is possible only with an authorised key via the intervention cylinder. The door must meet the fire protection requirements in accordance with El 30 and standard SN EN 179 for escape route doors.

Outside:

The outside handle is decoupled outside of opening hours, and the door can only be used with an authorised key via the cylinder. By switching on function B in the lock, the external handle remains coupled until this function is switched off again by the key. Intervention is via the mechanical cylinder.

Inside:

Exit is by door handle via the panic function. By pressing the handle, the dead bolt is retracted and the double action bolt released. After the door has been accessed, the lock locks automatically. The certified fire door is equipped with a door closer.

General:

With this solution, the lock must be consciously released for public traffic and also deactivated again (panic function B).

Advantages:

  • Daytime function possible (switching function B)
  • No wiring on the door
  • Panic function
  • Purely mechanical solution
